Mode Conditioning Fiber Optic Patch Cable is a cable used to connect different types of fiber optic interfaces, mainly for converting between different types of fibers. One end contains two interfaces, one connected to a single-mode fiber and the other to a multi-mode fiber, which can convert optical signals from one type of fiber to another to meet the connection requirements between different types of fibers. This mode conditioning fiber optic patch cable is terminated with duplex LC connector on one end, and on the other end terminated with a multimode SC connector and a singlemode SC connector. And mode conditioning fiber optic patch cables are used specifically in Gigabit Ethernet 1000BASE-LX/LH applications where the objective is deploying new high-speed 1000BASE-LX routers, switches, or transceivers within existing multimode system backbones.
